Momma Bears Sweets

A local treasure in Market Drayton, the sweet shop Momma Bears run by Lynda is the place to go for nostalgic treats and unique dog-friendly goodies. Whether you're popping into her little shop, ordering online, or taking advantage of her local delivery service, the experience is all about fun, flavour, and friendliness. When Lynda approached me to create her website, she had a clear vision: something simple, easy to use, and reflective of the charm of her shop.

The design process started with thoughts on what colour palette she was after, and we settled on some pastel colours inspired by retro sweet wrappers. These elements set the tone for a website that feels as sweet and inviting as her products. The user interface (UI) was kept clean and intuitive, making it easy for customers to explore her offerings, add items to their cart, and check out with minimal fuss.

Ecommerce was a must for this project, so I integrated a system that allows for seamless online shopping. Customers can browse a range of goodies, from classic pick ‘n’ mix to her fun dog biscuits, and choose their preferred delivery or collection option. Behind the scenes, the system includes features for stock management and updates, ensuring that Lynda can easily upload new items and adjust inventory numbers without needing to dive into complicated tools.

Empowering Lynda to manage her website independently was just as important as the design itself. We spent a lot of time together over cups of Costa coffee, going through the main elements of her new site. I made sure she could log in, make updates, and keep her store fresh and engaging without needing technical expertise. This flexibility means she can focus on her customers without worrying about her website keeping up.

The result? A pastel-hued, bear-approved website that brings the joy of her Market Drayton shop into the digital world.
