Once Upon A Time

The wonderful world of Once Upon a Time has officially opened its doors in Stoke-on-Trent! This magical role-play facility for children and babies offers a fantastic space for little imaginations to run wild. When the owner came to me, she had a clear vision for her website: it needed to be packed with essential information like health and safety details, easy to navigate, and offer seamless online booking for play sessions and ticket purchases.

We started by crafting a website design that felt warm, welcoming, and family-friendly -just like the Once Upon a Time experience. To make things extra functional, we worked with Smart Entertainment to integrate a specialist booking solution that works seamlessly with Wix, ensuring visitors can effortlessly book their sessions without a hitch.

Clear navigation was a top priority. Parents and carers are often short on time, so it was important to make everything - from the play session details, to the booking links - easy to find in just a few clicks. We also included dedicated sections for health and safety, FAQs, and even a peek at the menu for those wanting to grab some food on their visit! Kayren, the owner, has opted-in for my ongoing maintenance package, which means I will be here to get some photos online for her (once the facility opens!) and help update or change anything else, such as adding events, so she can concentrate on running her new business.

Imagery was a big part of bringing the site to life. Using vibrant photos, paired with a playful yet professional design, the website captures the magic of role play while staying functional and accessible. And, of course, it’s mobile-friendly - because when you’ve got children, you’re probably browsing on the go!
